		<description>Amen to undoing the mistakes of your own childhood, and giving the right stuff to your kids.

Dramatic sopranos are almost always misdiagnosed as altos in early life, due to the natural weight and massiveness of the lower register, and the awkward 2nd/3rd register break.  It's wonderful to hear someone discover his or her real voice, with the right teacher.  I've heard my teacher find 4-octave range dramatic coloraturas in women who had been singing alto all their lives, and she turned me from a light-lyric baritone into a spinto tenor.</description>
